SPEAKER:     Dr. Robin Selinger, Professor at Kent State University, Chemical Physics & Liquid Crystal Institute.    “Women in Science Careers: a Progress Report and Policy Issues”  Taking women’s careers into account could enable STEM to enhance a globally competitive U.S. profile, but Robin recognizes that incorporating not only girls but women and their career paths would mean restructuring. “To solve this problem will require a major redesign of the academic career pathway. This is the elephant in the room that no one is talking about.” Robin will not only talk about the problem but propose solutions at the Zonta ABC January business meeting in her talk, “Women in Science Careers: A Progress Report and Policy Issues.”

Bruno is nine years old and there is nothing to do at his new home. Just a tall fence stretching as far as the eye can see. While exploring, Bruno meets another boy on the other side of the fence, a boy whose life and circumstances are very different from his own. Their meeting results in a friendship that has unintended consequences.  Most enjoyed by families ages 12 and up
